Using ColorDrop to Change Line Color in Procreate on iPad

There are several posts on various platforms (e.g., YouTube, Reddit, Procreate Folio (here and here), and Alphr) explaining how to change the color of a line drawn in Procreate. They mostly rely on locking a layer’s alpha followed by filling said layer with the selected color. However, this process requires two steps apart from selecting the desired fill and does not enable the granularity of selecting individual artifacts in a layer.

Contrary to Alpha Lock, ColorDrop offers a lightweight interaction of dragging a fill to the desired element in the selected layer. Upon dropping the dragged color, Procreate fills the underlying geometry:

The software automatically detects the geometry’s boundaries, but you can manipulate the mechanism adjusting its threshold with ColorDrop Threshold. When hovering with the dragged fill over the desired element, you can adjust the threshold by dragging to the left or the right:

Besides the selected fill, both interactions are also available for the swatches from the color palettes with SwatchDrop and SwatchDrop Threshold.
